Head MicroGel 115 CT squash racket
Head's Corrugated Technology is a revolutionary new shaft design that optimises power, torsion, bending and handling on every stroke. Corrugated rails are incorporated into the shaft of the racquet creating upto 12% more stiffness than conventional racquet design.
The 115 CT uses Head's new Corrugated Technology to provide added stiffness to the shaft of the racket. Power is enhanced with the 12/17 string pattern originally found in the Liquid Metal range, which allows the stringbed to flex more on contact with the ball. The Head 115 CT plays even to head heavy and with much better swingweight than the 115g weight suggests. It is more like a 130g racquet to play with, heavier than the Microgel 125, for instance. Like the 135 CT, it offers a good combination of power and control and is slightly more maneuverable with the potential to generate power from racquet head speed. It may suit you better if you tend to generate power from your wrist and forearm, rather than following through the ball and its lighter weight makes it a good choice for female players and advanced juniors. The handle butt is large on these racquets, while the rest of the handle is about medium-sized. If you tend to hold the racquet at the very end, it may be necessary to add a thin grip underneath the main grip finishing short of the end of the handle. The racquet balance will accept this and it makes for a more comfortable grip.
